    Wife's New EDC Weapon

Well my wife had been complaining that her SP101 snubbie gets too heavy for her by the end of the day and wanted something lighter weight. So Hoffman's in Newington, CT had hard chrome LCP's for $289 and it included a 50 rd box of Remington and a 20 rd box of Federal Hydra-Shoks. Seemed a pretty good deal, and I picked her up a Desantis nylon pocket holster until I can order her something better.

Now we just need to get out to the range and get some rounds through it.

That was a good deal; congrats. But do not be too happy, you might soon hear that the LCP is too light

Congrats on your new SP101! You should have got her one of those heavy Dan Wesson's, I'm sure she'd tire of it sooner or later!

Congrats on getting her a new pistol, and one she will not mind at all carrying.

Thanks all, now I am looking for a better pocket holster and possibly the CTC laser guard for her. She has to use a pocket holster since she wears scrubs (no belt).

I've been told that the kangaroo holsters work well with scrubs. http://www.kangaroocarry.com/

I miss going to Hoffman's. How's their range?

The range is pretty nice. There is 6 lanes I believe, two RSO's at all times, so a pretty good ratio safety wise. They also have a rental program where you can rent a weapon and 10 rounds for $20. Not a bad deal, it beats buying a gun only to find out that you don't like it.

The new store is really nice, much bigger than the old one.

Congrats CT! As they say, one less thing to worry about now. I like the SP-101 but I can see how it would get heavy after a while. I bet she won't get that heavy feeling with the LCP.
