I bought this Saturday ($339!) and took it to the range this morning. S/N is EAF15XX; test fired by S&W 11-22-10. Today, I fired 100 rounds of WWB.
Those of you who are used to shooting DAO snubbies won't have an issue with the trigger. I carry a Taurus 85CH daily, and the BG 380 trigger was very similar. If you're used to M&P semi-autos, Springfield XDs or Glocks, you may disagree with me. The trigger pull is loooong, but predictable. I'm thinking a trigger shoe like I have on my Kel-Tec P-11 would be beneficial.
After firing the 100 rounds, I had 0 FTFs, 0 FTEs and a pistol that I firmly believe I can trust. After getting used to where in the trigger pull the gun actually fired, my groups went from "OK / acceptable", to "as good as my M&P9C". The picture says it all. This is a 12 shot group fired at 7 yards; 2 1/4 inches top to bottom. There were no problems with the takedown lever coming out, and the trigger got smoother as I fired.
The pistol shoots to POA with both iron sights and the laser. The laser was sighted perfectly out of the box - no adjustments needed. I bought another big box o' bullets on the way home today. If the next 100 rounds go as well as these, the snubbie may start feeling a bit rejected.
In regard to cleaning the pistol, the instructions in the owner's manual are sufficient. It came apart as stated in the manual. re-assembly went well, just had to hold everything right to get the takedown pin back in properly.
It appears S&W has made some improvements since the first models came out. This pistol is a keeper.
