Thumbs up Couldn't pass it up

For years I have wanted a 4" Ruger Security Six .357 Mag. It was always one of those things, either I had the money and none were to be found, or I'd find one and not have the money.

This evening I stopped at the LGS. There behind the counter I spotted a Ruger Security/Service grip sticking out from behind a box (Ruger checkering was distinctive on those models). Asked the clerk if it was in fact a Ruger. He said "Yes, that he had just taken it in trade about an hour before". He said he wasn't sure which model it was off the top of his head. When he picked it up the adjustable rear sights were obvious., a Security Six. It's a 2 3/4" model, but super clean. Rotation line on the cylinder is barely discernible. No scratches or holster wear on it. Doesn't appear to have been fired more than a few times, if at all. According to the serial # it was manufactured in 1984. Asking price was $450. I got it for $425. Can't wait until this week-end to take it to the range!

Score! That's a nice looking pistol; it shows very little wear.
