Small Hands, what gun?
A good friend finds my Glock 21 huge, CZ P-01 a little large, and CZ-82 about right. What would you suggest? Recoil is not an issue, he shoot's .45 and 9MM fine, it's the grip that concerns him. Single stack maybe? I like the CZ's and XD's, but I have large hands. Thanks for any input.

If single stack magazine pistols are ok with your friend, and he shoots .45s fine then I would suggest looking at a Glock 36 or a Kahr CW45. I would also look at a Kahr P9, PM9, CW9 or a Kel Tec PF9 or even a Springfield EMP in 9mm. Any one of those should suit smaller hands just fine. I hope this helps. Oh, I forgot to mention the excellent Walther PPS in either 9mm or .40S&W too.
God bless our troops!

+1 on the G36 which is about the only semi I would consider these days'. Size, weight and cost being the key factors for me. Otherwise, I'd just soon stick with a small 'J' wheel gun.

Has he been to a local gunshow? I don't know what your local gunshows look like, but at the ones in Houston, there are always lines of tables with all major makes and models of handguns. Take a walk through a show, and handle as many as possible. Just have him take a notepad to scribble down his 'short list' of what feels comfortable. I had to do it for a few friends, and it's much easier than going to a gun shop where an employee has to hand each one to you from behind a glass case. (and you're typically forced to listen to their personal thoughts on each one) Just my experience.

My hands are pretty small too. For a .45 I have settled on a M&P45c. My EDC is a Walther PPS9. I also carry a Model 60 (3") occasionally.

I also have small hands, and find that the SA XD40 is a good fit!

I recommend the Glock-36, also...the other Glocks always looked and felt like bricks, but the Glock-36 changed my mind...then got me started on the other Glocks. Ya' just can't have one!

I like my G 36 and would highly recommend looking at one. My sister has small hands and this will soon be her choice for carry as well.

Another vote for the G36
And don't forget that the thin profile of a 1911 lends itself well to smaller hands; as do the small wheel guns.

Have him check out any of the guns with adjustable back straps. M&P's, XD's and new gen. Clocks.
