    Anyone Carry a S&W M&P compact .40?

I am looking hard at this pistol for ccw. I now have a H&K P2000,great gun just is'nt me.
I also carry a Kimber compact .45 and cost me too much to carry in my truck at times unattended.
I have handled and shot the XD,kinda blocky but also heavier than the M&P. Don't care for
glocks. The M&P felt awesome in my hand and I have shot the 9MM and was very accurate and smooth trigger.
The different size backstraps are nice and the gun reviews I have read are more pro than con on this piece.
What I really want to know is how does it carry, easily concealed w/IWB and comfortable to carry all day?
So, if anyone out there owns this pistol please feel free to add some feedback for me!

    Thanks to all who reply!

Sorry, but I carry the M&P9c and it's kick ass. I liked it so much that I bought the big brother.

I have been carrying the 40 compact for a year now. LOVE IT. Carry IWB, OWB and ankle. No problem with any of them. If you have already shot the gun and it feels good to you then the only regret you will have is not buying it. Feel free to contact me with any questions.

I would direct you to this thread including my pictures of my M&P 40c (which is the same frame as the 9c, and 357sig compact). It definitely takes an extra inch or two in pant size. It conceals fairly well, as you can see from the pics.

Great gun to carry, not real happy with my holster at the present but I've run about 800 rounds threw it with no issues. You might want to check out Apex Tactical Specialties https://apextactical.com/store/produ...pg1-cid11.html if your into fine tuning. Also ordered night sights on the compact, good luck I'd say go for it

I absolutely love mine! Been carrying it for around 3 years now with no problems. I'm actually looking at getting a full size .40 S&W after the first since the price on Smith's has went down considerably.

I usually carry mine in a UBG Striker IWB but sometimes will do it in a cheap Fobus paddle for IDPA shoots and around the house or at my parents.

    To bold above

700+ rounds thru, with no hiccups.

Here is Mine with an inexpensive IWB Italian single clip holster, which works effectively well in maintaining a death grip on my pants.

I thought it would not hold in place well, but it works.

I enjoy mine. It carries very easily in a small-of-the-back holster (I use a left-hand Hume IWB clip holster for right-hand SOTB carry...). I also have a Minotaur IWB right-side holster, which I like also, but don't use that often. I seem to use the SOTB carry more often, which is different from what I expected when I first got it. You made a fine choice.

My gunsmith uses the exact same carry for his beretta 96,left hand Don Hume 715 for SOTB carry and loves it.
I like that model holster also, had one for my glock. I just may get a left and a right hand and for the price I'll be set.
This way if sometimes I like to carry appendix the right hand one will work. The best thing about the M&P is you don't have to do any changing
or adding on,it's sweet just the way it is.

I have the .40c and carry it in a Comp-Tac M-tac holster. It tucks away nicely and is comfortable to carry. You'll be happy with it, I've had zero problems with mine.
