OD* Those grips are so nice they should be under glass! I could see a set of those on one of my full size 1911's soon!

    Thread revival!

OD, every time I visit Esmeralda's site, she's "sold out" of the cool 1911 Celtic cross grips. Every single time! How did you acquire yours?

    I like VZ Operator II's on a hard use/bad environment 1911, but Spiegel's on a bar-b-q gun.

Whatever you get make sure they are functional first, looks are secondary, if this is for a carry gun.

You can make it as good looking as you want but if your grip shifts when firing or you are so worried about scratching or marring the grips to shoot with them you are only hurting yourself.

If this is for a safe queen or play gun get whatever suits your fancy.

Actually, she didn't have any when I was looking either, so I called her and ordered a couple pairs, nice lady to work with and it didn't take long at all to receive them.

    This is the other set.

Ignorance is a long way from stupid, but left unchecked, can get there real fast.

    I love my Esmeralda Grips.

VZ grips are nice also but imo they do not look as nice as wood. They are very durable and grippy (depending upon the model you buy)
