New Sig owner....WOOHOOO
I have asked many questions about Sigs and you guys have been a great help. I am a confirmed Glock guy and have been for many years. All of your statements about the Sigs got me thinking I needed one. The search was for a 229 Dark Elite in 357, but they are not a stocked item and you dont see them at gun shows in this area. Today I found a 226 in .40 for $540. The gun looks new with no wear that I could see. Thanks to all who answered my questions, and this should hold me over until I find my dream gun. Going to the range in the morning to see how it shoots.

She's a beauty. I found a pristine West German p228 a while back for 550$.
Just be patient and you'll find your Elite 357 too.

Hotguns, that is what concerns me. I have been looking since August for the Elite and have held every Sig I could find. All I wanted was the Elite, and then I held a 226 three weeks ago and thats all I could think about. I also grabbed a 239 today, and think I might need one of those. Darn things are addictive.

Congrats on the new gun. I wonder if there is a cure for gun addiction? If there is a cure, I don't want it.

I have four "classic" Sigs. I bought my first from a "friend". I had been perfectly content with what I had. We went to the range one day and he let me shoot his P226. He then told me he was thinking of selling it. And he would finance it. I had my P226 and I was perfectly content with what I had. This "friend" called me up one day and asked me to meet him. He then let me handle his P228. He then told me he was thinking about selling it. And he would finance it.
See how this works?
That P226 is a "gateway" Sig. If you try to resist it will only lead to heartache. Resistance is futile. Embrace what you have become!
