I have shot 4 different Glocks. Can't remember the model numbers (never really cared to), one full-size 9mm, two compact 9mms, and a 36 (I remember that one because it was a compact .45 ) They were all 'OK'. None of them made me very happy, but they did shoot well. Apart from my deep hatred of all things DAO. But, they didn't group any better than my .357 snubbie, or my Taurus 24/7- in .45.

So, while I have to call you a traitor on the general principle of getting a Glock instead of a 1911 (no matter the brand), I will still congratulate you on your new family member and wish you many happy range sessions together. And, that it's not a 9mm.

BTW this is not meant as a racist comment, you can insert Halle Berry for Kim if you like...
    Ooh.. Halle Berry? ..where??!!

Quart of oil with a 1911?? I run mine fairly dry and I've only had ONE FTE. But, I'm blaming that on the round- it was a weak bang as compared to all the others.

    Somewhere out there.
I tried not to like the Glock. But now the only guns I have are Glocks and I am looking at procuring a Glock 34 soon.

I love my 1911's. They look great in my gun-safe. My Glocks look great in my TTGunleather, my SmartCarry and my Remora.

Thats why you should always eat before you go into purchase a gun maybe a snickers bar so your blood sugar isnt to low and you get these crazy thoughts like I'll take a Glock over a 1911 the owner of the store should have known something was wrong..lol
But congrats on your Glock I have a Glock 22 but got it after my 1911's just so I could see what the fuse was .
