After the fun of flying with a weapon during the holidays, I decided to lock my Glock 23 up in my family gun safe back home and leave it there during the few times a year I might fly home. To fill the void of not having my favorite home defense weapon back in NC with me, I went to Lawmens in Raleigh and picked up a new one with night sights for $398. Figured keep it simple and get another Glock .40 cal to go with my Glock 27 which is my EDC.

We're all in favor of reducing violent crime. It's just that pro-gunners have a method that is proven effective. Anti-gunners don't.

I did get a Gen 3 just to keep it the same as my other G23 and G27. And yes I bought it though a Law Enforcement dealer using my military discount through Glock.

You did real good. $398 is the old discount price w/o night sights. The newer discount price should
be $425 (again, w/o night sights), so you got the old price and free night sights.

So far I'm not to thrilled with the performance of my new Glock 23. I went to the range and shot approx 140 rounds though it with 9 or so failures to eject using Federals American Eagle 180g ammo. I'm going to take it to a buddy of mine who is an Special Forces Weapons guy see what he can do to it. This is not the Glock I've come to know and love.

Congrats on your new G23! I traded my former G22 for a G23. My EDC is also a G27. The compact Glocks I'd overlooked for a long time. Love the G23! Kudos to you finding one at LE pricing with night sights! May it serve you well!
