    Bobbed LW operator.

I've been in love with the bobbed look, but hadn't been able to find one local to paw. I was finally able to handle one a few weeks ago, and I decided then and there, that there was more $ to be spent!

    Before.

    No turning back now!

    Hmm, not too bad!

    Feels good!

    Finished product!

It's not high dollar GS quality, but for a rookie, it turned out real nice, and I'm VERY happy with it! Next week or so she'll get a trip to the local Cerakote guy for a fresh coat of black on the frame.

Functional test was perfect as I had hoped with the change in MS spring tensions. Now for the final test, to see if she stopped poking me in the ribs and digging into my love handles as much!

    Hope you like!

Fantastic job Mike! You did it like a pro. So when do you go into business?

    Well done!

    Details as to your methods?

Well done. Personally, I know my limits, and that is beyond mine. I couldn't have cut into mine.

    Thanks for sharing.

I couldn't be happier with my bobtail. It really does help in concealment and I like the way it settles into your hand better.

That’s really impressive work! I’m far too lazy to try such a feat, but you definitely have the gift.

Excellent job on the bob. I also did my Ria and just love the feel of it. A bob 1911 just feels right.

Nice indeed. Now you need to post how you did it; did you use a bandsaw?
