    Both of those smiths are really nice pieces. They are about as small of a gun as I'd want to shoot 357 mag rounds out of personally, but I think they would do it well. I don't really want to get into something that doesn't do well with 357 mag rounds. I know many people carry 38 special +P rounds for self defense, but that's not really "my thing". I'm by no means recoil shy, but I don't want to get into a situation where recoil is in charge and i'm just along for the ride either.

    I carry a SP101 and back it up with a LCR357. When I carry a semi-auto I carry a Glock 21. and the LCR 357.

    Dang I miss my 2 1/2" S&W 19-5 with Pachmyr grips. Trigger was smooth as silk and it packed SO nice. Only one drawback, the Ex shot better with it than me. She gave it a good home.
