I'm glad I did and from the thread so far I would say that sig is still considered a pretty darn good gun for reliability as well as a carry unit.

Hopefully the comments will keep coming.

I have a P229 in 40cal. Love this gun. main carry piece most of the time. When weather gets hot the P239 in 9MM comes out, Little bit lighter and thinner makes it a little better to hide.

Both are rock solid reliable and both are more accurite than I am 99% of the time.

I would like to try the P290 next just to see.
Death and taxes..... need i say any more?

Lots of love for the 220 on here, and they are great!

My current carry is the P6, and many of us consider it a handy size for CC.
Fast is good but accurate is better.

I have really been considering getting a 239 9mm SAS. I found a good price on one and if he still has it in a couple of weeks I may pick it up.

Always carry a knife-they are handy to have
Always carry a reload-You probably won't need it but it is good insurance .
Always carry a light- To see in the dark

I finally was able to pick up my 220 Carry Elite Dark on Thursday. It feels so natural in my hand, even more so than my 228. I was looking forward to running some rounds through it today but when I arrived at the range this morning both the 50' and 75' lanes were closed until further notice. They are renovating and were supposed to do each separately, I guess plans changed.

My new Sig p232 has been back to the factory twice .... a real 'Jamamatic' ..... It's not worth spending money on ammo to go to the range .... I bought it as a carry gun, but just too unreliable

    P228

My experience is with a P228. Excellent firearm. Never a failure in any way. When my safety is on the line only a SIG or Browning Hi-Power...just my opinion but never had any problem with either.

I have 2 P220s and a P220 Compact that I've carried off and on for about 5 yrs. One thing I can say about the classic 220 platform is that from my experience, they've proven to me to be the most accurate .45acp pistols out of the box that I've ever shot. I even sold an original Series 70 Mark IV, Colt Gov't model to satisfy my craving for the "Signess". I don't think you'll go wrong with it. Having said that, Sig has had some problems with their newer pistols QC-wise, however, I personally believe the customer service with Sig is improving and I think they do a pretty decent job now, of standing behind their products.
