It looks like 2011 will be the year of the single-stack pocket 9's. We have Sig and Ruger throwing their hats in the ring.

I assume that will be a DAO pistol? I didn't see an external hammer...Interesting!
Current handguns: Glock models 19, 22C, 23, 27, 29, & 36; Kimber Pro CDP and Polymer Custom; Kahr PM9 & CW9; S&W models 6906, 386PD, 66; Taurus 85 Ultralite Ti; Browning Buckmark;
Former handguns: S&W 4"686, 4" 620 & Sigma .380, Taurus 617 Ti, Kimber Pro Eclipse, Walther P22, Glock 30 & 33.
I dont think any of these single stack 9s are for pockets. I carry a p3-at, and anything larger would be too large. Most will agree the keltec p11 9mm is too large for pocket. That kimber will be too larger and heavy. Might work in a coat pocket, but not jeans

Not bad looking, It does look a little large for a pocket weapon hopefully a black stainless version to come ?

Even though the picture is a good indication, I look forward to seeing the actual specs. Naturally this has to come out right when I think I've decided on a single stack 9mm...

Massad Ayoob has an article on safeties in the latest edition of "American Handgun" that might give you second thoughts on the value of a safety or atleast not so thuimbs down.
Makes little difference to me either way.The only firearm I own with a true external safety is my CZ-82, but it's not my carry gun. If I were to carry anything "cocked & locked" I'd think I'd want one.

Well back to the thread, the safety issue has been beat to death and for some of us folks it's not an issue. I do have to say that this Kimber looks nice, to bad it's not a Colt.
The Ruger MKIII 22/45 is the worst handgun in history to take apart, but is one of the funnest to shoot...

Wanted the LC9 till I saw this. Can't wait for the test videos this looks as if it could be the most accurate in this market.
