This is a discussion on S&W clones the Judge; Taurus raises the stakes with a Raging 28 gauge within the Defensive Carry Guns forums, part of the Defensive Carry Discussions category; 28 gauge is 55 caliber....
28 gauge is 55 caliber.
There is something about firing 4,200 thirty millimeter rounds/min that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
Ummm... I think the raging judge is .45LC, .454 casull or .410

I see Superhouse 15 and razor02097, thanks for the info. Now I am just as confused as ever as to how Taurus plans to get by selling this to the general public without a tax stamp for NFA restricted firearms.
God bless our troops!
The raging judge will still shoot pistol rounds. 45LC and 454 casull.
Not sure about the 28 gauge judge EDIT: All I read about is Taurus is showing one off in the 2011 shot show.... so I guess we will know more soon...

My wife has the taurus judge. It is just a hoot. I love the gun. I shoot gophers with it mostly. Wife says I remind her of Bill Murray. Anyway, I think it is cool that SW is getting into the action. I can't understand the 28 gauge, but they make chocolate and vanilla for a reason.

I was really hoping the Governor was a photoshopped joke.

Yeesh.
Battle Plan (n) - a list of things that aren't going to happen if you are attacked.
Blame it on Sixto - now that is a viable plan.
What an abomination. Street price quoted as "around $600". The Judge costs what? $375 - $400??
Raising the MSRP does not make a bad idea any better. The company calling itself S&W has now proven it is simply Taurus North.
Will some company PLEASE buy them out and start making USEFULL handguns again - that are NOT ugly!!
Made in USA versus made in Brazil? Or is Taurus Argentina? I forget. I'd pay more for a firearm made in the US.
Nothing unreal exists
Taurus is made in Brazil and Bersa are made in Argentina. The higher price tag of the S&W Governor is due to the fact that it is "Made in USA". I don't understand why Smith & Wesson would clone the Taurus Judge if sales of that model have been less than stellar, it is a terrible gun for concealed carry and the pistol is not good for defensive purposes according to many reviews by experts. Therefore, I think they dropped the ball on this one and someone needs to get fired. I also think that Walther GmbH should buy and take over Smith & Wesson. They have already been working with them in the US and they are producing amazing handguns. This would also allow them to market revolvers in Europe which they currently don't sell.

Gun owners' prayer:
"Dear Lord; if I die please don't let my wife sell my gun collection...........for what I told her it was worth"
"Does Smith & Wesson have any "good stuff" in their revolver catalog..."
The anwer to that question is a resounding NO!
Ugly spaceguns with locks and MIM parts. Overpriced junk. Very sad. Regards 18DAI.
