My smallest 9mm is a Sig P228. Very soft shooting and very smooth trigger. I assume that it maybe had a trigger job before I bought it.

Pain is the best teacher, but nobody wants to go to his class.
When the past smothers the present, there is only desperation. When the future absorbs the present, life stands still. In either case a decision must be made because you only live now and you are only what you are now.
I would say the Kahr K9. In fact, I would say it was actually fun to shoot. Can't say that about too many of the small ones.
I'm leaning towards an SR9c since we already have a fullsize SR9. We've got three little ones with a fourth on the way so she actually likes the idea of a safety on her carry piece. Yes, she'll train with the safety on.
I had a PM9 and I agree that they are a dream to carry and pretty darn accurate, but I couldn't get over that Kahr's don't carry a lifetime warranty. The PM9 I got used had a few issues that luckily were easy fixes after paying for some parts and installing them myself. Sending it back to Kahr would have meant more $$$ than I was willing to spend. I got rid of it after wondering what I would do if the frame cracked or something more major happened. I love the design of the Kahrs and if they backed that up with Glock-like CS I would be all over them.

If you can find one...S&W 3953tsw with cut grip and no rail.
Rare but I picked it over the Kahr CW9 (which I like) and have not looked back
When it comes to soft recoiling 9mms, I think the HK USP Compact or its close cousin, the P2000---also, very manageable grip size.
