What's the smallest softest shooting 9mm out there?
I know weight, barrel alignment, & ergos have a lot to do with handling recoil so some guns just feel softer than others. I wonder what guns shoot the softest in the sub 6" length size category or even in the sub 20oz weight category.
Moving up in size and weight a bit I'd be curious to know what's softest in the 7" length size and the sub 25oz weight category.

I dunno about softest shooting but the Kahr PM9 has a smooth trigger on it. It's listed as DAO but it is really striker fired.

I think my PPS is a pretty soft shooter and easy to carry as well. I really like it.
My Kahr P9 has a light recoil and weighs less than 17oz. empty. I am sure the economy model of it, the CW9, would be similar to it.

It's not the kel tec pf 9...that's for sure!
My springfield emp is a really soft shooter...but I suppose it's a bit larger/heavier than the Kahrs.

My Bersa Thunder 9 Ultra Compact is a very smooth shooter. Not the smallest, or the lightest weapon, but darn good all the way around.

M&P9 compact is about 30.8 oz full. and over all length is 6.7 inches.. I know that is to big and heavy for the OP standards, but if you used it in the last question of your post. then

Even though I don't like the trigger shape and pull, my KelTec P11 does not feel bad in terms of recoil. I am ezpecting a trigger shoe and mag extension in the mail tomorrow, and they do make it more palatable. I don't carry it, but conceal it close to the front door. For that role it is worthwhile having around. I think my Walther PPK/S in .380 delivers more felt recoil.

I agree, if you're talking specifically about the "softest shooter" then you're talking about a heavy gun, namely an all stainless steal one. The MK9 or the the K9 would be the answer if you're looking for a soft shooter. The new Kimber Solo in all stainless steal is another one to look at now that it's hitting the market.
