Thumbs up Hi Point 45 acp Range Report

Well, got to the indoor range tonight and brought along a few guns, including my new Hi Point 45 ACP pistol. Attached are thumbnails of how i did at 7 meters.

For out of the box, and only 100 rounds through it in backyard, this Hi Point was flawless tonight. I was using Remington UMC 230 grain 45acp. I shot 150 rounds tonight, and i picked one of my targets at random that i used... for me, they were decent groupings at 7 meters. Recoil is manageable, and gun fits in my hand quite differently than my glock 30 that i shot just previous to it. No FTF or FTE of any kind. Trigger is nice and predictable. Sights are two red dots in rear, and one yellow up front, which i actually prefer to my Glock's tritium night sights. The contrast is easy to pick up for me.

Although gun feels heavy, it is very easy to shoot. Dont know what else to say, other than i am very satisified with my purchase... think i will order one in 40 and 9mm . Thanks. Bunker

I know that the High Point has it's place and some people swear by them, but that has got to be one of the ugliest pieces of industrial design to come across my monitor in quite a while. After about 2 weeks of serious range time, a shooter would have arms like a pre-gov Arnold Schwarzenegger. I'm glad it works for you. To be honest, I wouldn't have a problem recommending one to someone on a very limited budget.

    Cheers!

Great report happy for you; I love the high point, do not own one but love the fact that my Glock is not the most brick looking gun around haha, Love my glock but it looks like a shoe box with a handle, the high point kinda looks like a timming light (from when you could still adjust timming on a car....

Thanks for the report on your new Hi-Point. I own two 9mm pistols and their 9mm carbine. They have been flawless in operation for extended shooting sessions. My kids have shot the crap out of them and they don't stop shooting. I also owned a .40 pistol which was also flawless in operation. I sold it to help fund other gun buys and I have other .40's anyway. The Hi-Points have their place. Do I carry them? No. But thats not why I bought them. They are economical and they, mine anyway go bang every time the trigger is pulled. If you get a dud, it has a lifetime warranty.

The next accesory I would get for that is a "RYOBI" sticker, so you can throw in your tool bag and nobody would be the wiser. Thats what I call concealed carry. That is, unless someone asks to use your (cough) drill. Lol!!!! But for $120, I'd snag one too..

.... Now that made me chuckle big time..

OP, if it functions and does what it was purchased for, than it's all good.
