Sort of dumb for Colt to just make one of these anniversary guns. That is an insult to John Browning.
Browning will be making 200 copies of their deluxe matched set of commenerative 1911 pistols. One of the guns will the an authentic deluxe 1911 in .45 ACP. The second gun included in the matched pair is a reduced size 1911 in .22 LR. Browning says that reaction at the Show Show was so favorable to the reduced size 1911 .22, that they are considering adding it as a standard product to their product line.
The MSRP for the set is $4,700. So they look like a much better deal to me:
