Nice choices. Two observations.

I don't like the advent of brightly colored guns. To my many years as a cop responding to "man with a gun" calls, they look too much like toys. A pretty gun in the hands of a youngster, an officer may let his guard down prematurely.

Those who bash Taurus firearms, most likely have never owned one. All gun makers sometimes put out a lemon, but most Taurus (or S&W, Kimber, Sig, etc.) bashing is based on second or third hand accounts, internet gun forum "experts", or gun shop commandos. If you and your wife like it, and if it works well for her, then by all means get it.

I too like my PT1911, but have not had much luck with other Taurus products.
