New Gun
This year I was authorized by the wife to buy one new gun. After weeks of deliberation I chose an M&P 9c. I have plenty of CCW .40s and a few other calibers but no 9mm. I plan on loading it up with 124gr Speer GD. This is supposed to be her gun, but until CCW passes in WI, it will be one of my off-duty pieces. Funny thing is I looked at Kahrs, G26s, etc, etc. However every time I went to the toy store and picked this little gem up, it just seemed so right. There are plenty of threads about the M&P already, just wanted to share my experiences. Just gotta find a decent IWB and OWB holster for it, and I'll be all set.

I have one on order myself and hope to have it by the weekend. I think it will be a nice companion to my SR9c. I'll probably go to Side Guard for my holsters, I really like The Slide I bought for the Ruger. Congrats and enjoy!

Excellent choice! You will grow to love your M&P9c. I liked mine so much that I bought it's big brother.

Congrats on your M&P! I have 2 M&P 9c pistols, and I absolutely love them. Do yourself a favor and check out the Apex Tactical DCAEK trigger kit, that makes the M&P my favorite pistol that I have ever carried.

Love those M&P's! Can't speak to the compact version specifically, but my wife and I have three M&P9 FS's between us. Never a hiccup, they just run!
+1 on claybreaker0's recommendation about Apex Tactical's DCAEK, it is a huge improvement over the factory trigger.

What! You mean you're going to have more than one caliber ammo on hand?

*It's a hell of a thing, killing a man. Take away all he's got and all he's ever gonna have.
*Yeah, well, I guess they had it coming.

The amazing thing about mine is that it's beat to heck, the finish is at least five different colors between the initial off-black and nearly bare steel, but it shoots like a dream, has never malfunctioned, and every time I think about getting another gun, I seem to end up coming back to my M&P9c.
