    New slim carry.

Just traded in my PPS for this shiny PF-9 in hard chrome.

I loved my PPS, but I just could not get accustomed to the euro mag release on it. I cut my teeth on a Glock and it is hard to change at this point. I was also never happy with the idea of the backstrap safety on the PPS.

Have not had it to the range yet, so it is not getting carried, but I should have an opportunity to break it in in the next couple of days or so. Did the Golden Loki Fluff & Buff and assuming it proves it's-self reliable, it should be a great EDC. I am very happy with the fit and finish, form factor, and weight. Range report to follow.

Beautiful. What's the capacity on it?

Be sure to report in on the range results.

Those little PF9s are great guns for the money.

With the rash of single stack mini 9s that have been unleashed lately, from Ruger, Kimber, Sig, Taurus etc. you have to give kudos to Keltec. They were the first and most innovative of the bunch, and priced within reach of most people.

I have a hard chrome PF9 and they are great carry guns. Very thin, light and mine is darn reliable. Congrats and enjoy the new pistol.

Capacity in 9mm is 7+1. Paid $350 out the door for the gun, and extra mag, and the Hogue grip. Finding one was the difficult part; that is where a good local dealer who can look out for you comes in handy. I did wait for SHOT to make sure there wasn't anything that I wanted to hold out for, but for the price, assuming this one proves reliable, I'm a happy camper!

That's quite a change up there, I couldn't imagine making the same decision, but I hope that it serves you well. Congrats on your new pistol, I would love to hear your thoughts with a range report, so please come back and tell us how it went. As far as the back strap safety goes....no one has mentioned that the PPS magazine has 2 polymer "spikes" that fit behind the back strap lever making it impossible for the back strap to come off while the magazine is inserted.....just saying.

This gun is a sweet little CC piece. It cracks me up with all the Ruger fanboys talking about waiting until the LC9 comes out. The LC9 is a blatant rip off of the Kel-Tec PF9.

I agree and the Ruger LCP is a ripoff of the Kel-Tec P-3AT.

Congratulations. I'll be really interested to hear your range report. I've held one of those at my favorite LGS. It feels good in the hand and it is definitely slim @ 0.88" (I think it's the slimmest 9mm available). I want something slim like that. At the moment I have an LC9 on order. But the PF9 is still a candidate.

My Glock 26 and LCP aren't going anyplace, but there are some times I'd like a slimmer 9mm than the 26 with out going all the way to the LCP. I think the PF9 and/or LC9 should be good ankle guns, size and weight are about perfect for that.
