Got My USP Back from my Gunsmith -- PICS

My HK USP Custom Combat in .40 S&W came back from my local gunsmith today with a brand new fully adjustable HK rear sight on it! Instead of the standard factory sight, it now has the same fully adjustable rear sight on it that the USP Tactical, Expert, and Elite models all have.

This will be so cool to now be able to exactly dial in my groups to be spot on!!

Here are some close-up photos of the rear sight, in case any other USP owners want to consider upgrading their pistols too:

The rear sight is the same as on my Elite, but what's that green dot on the front? That's not standard HK, is it?

Nice...I wont buy a fixed sight gun unless I can first fire it..ive had too many that are just not "dead on" out of the box ive had them shoot 2" left or right and IMO if a gun out of the box with fixed sights shoots 2" left or right it should NEVER HAVE LEFT THE FACTORY at least up and down can sometimes be just the ammo in revolvers ive found that say 125 grain shoots low or high but 158 grain(.357's im talking) shoot dead on ...thats why I almost always go with adjustable sight guns I want to hit where I aim not just in a 2" left or right up or down lol :)... good job!

Actually, that is the standard factory front sight on both the Custom Combat and Combat Competition models of the USP. These models also come with the "jet funnel" magazine well attachment, and the matching high cap HK mags ( 16 rounds in .40 S&W, and 18 rounds in 9mm ). My gun, the Custom Combat, has the traditional Type 1 DA/SA trigger, while the Combat Competition has a special hybrid trigger derived from HK’s LEM and Match trigger systems.

Other than those features, they are standard USP pistols.

I figured that if I got a gun as big as the USP, I might as well get the higher capacity version. In .40 S&W, my USP Custom Combat holds as many rounds as the Springfield Armory XDm does.

Extra mags, though, are super expensive.
