Talking My new baby!! Finally here!!!

After a long wait my S&W 649 has finally arrived! Needless to say I'm a happy man!! Great fit and finish. Other than the grips I'll soon swap for some wood Hoges' I REALLY like the way this firearm feels in my hand. Not exactly a light carry piece at 23 ounces but I prefer a heavier gun over a lightweight..just me I imagine.

Here are a few pics with my OWB Don Hume and DeSantis pocket holsters. Man I can't wait to get out and do some shooting!!! I'll post some "carry" pics soon.4.jpg3.jpg1.jpg2.jpg

Thanks Dragman. Man I'm pumped!! I'd be at the local indoor range right now but I've been there before. It's a dangerous place. I'll wait until I can hit the country. LOL

Thanks everyone...just ordered some Hogue Kingwood Checkered grips for her. Only the best for my baby! hahahaha (don't tell my girl LOL)

ps - The customer service folks are Hogue are great! Spoke with Crystal. She was very knowledgeable and even helped me pick em since she's used several Hogue grips on S&W's. She even gave me a discount. Must be my midwest charm. ;)

Bodyguards are great guns. Its exposed hammer offers the best of both worlds, in my opinion. I like it better than having a completely internal hammer.

    EXACTLY why I bought it!

Certainly not an issue for me but for anyone with weak hand strength or injury - cocking the shrouded hammer may be a bit of a challenge.

Now...to buy some property in the country so I can shoot anytime I want. Something tells me that would be a little more than the $700 I have in the firearm. LOL
