Glock? MP? Why not both?
I have been on the fence for some time about both. I came to the conclusion, they're guns, not women, I can have both. Glock- You can't argue with 25 years of history. M&P- May be the new kid on the block, but I like them. Glad I don't have to marry guns, I might be considered a bigamist.

This is a great answer. If it were me, it's be 9mm Glock and .45acp M&P. Two great guns, two great calibers...and you could then be on both sides of two of the biggest ongoing arguments on this and many other boards.

Both are fine sidearms. You can't go wrong either way.
Having said that, I prefer the ergos of the M&P.
Good luck, sounds like you're on the right track.

Agreed here. I just don't like the feel of Glocks. I'm not knocking them, just not comfortable to me. I'm glad you can afford to buy both! That'll certainly make the decision easier, haha.

I have an XD-9 and an XD-45, but I'm getting a Glock 19 soon (I hope). The M&P9c is definitely on my list. I like all guns, some are just better than others.

Why limit yourself to being a Bigamist?
Become a Polygamist like me. I split my time between S&W, Kahr, and Walther.

which trigger do you like best? Which do you think has the more crisp or mushy trigger. Ive never shot a M&P..thats why I ask. I like the Glock trigger better than my XD's.
Be careful what you wish for. You just might get it ......

One thing's for sure, guns don't get jealous. Envious maybe, but not jealous. Don't know why anyone would want one brand name and one brand name only.

Thats a good state of mind! It might land you in the broke zone, but you'll have good company!

I'm a member of the both club too. M&P 45 and a Clock 27.
OTB the Glock trigger is much better than the M&P, but there is an inexpensive way to fix that.

Hihosilver, the Glock trigger is much better than the XD. The XD has a mushy trigger with a very long reset and overtravel while the Glock is short and crisp. The only MP trigger I felt was modified, but it did feel good. It too was crisp, I just don't know how they feel out of the box.

I'm almost at the same point. Have a M&P 40 full size, looking at buying my bosses g26. Need something with a short handle to carry.
