I saw a Kimber Solo at my LGS the other day, (for display only, taking orders) and I got to handle it, and I have to say I was impressed by the size and quality of the piece. I was seriously eyeing the Springfield EMP, but now I am going to get one of these - after they have been out for a year to work out any kinks and bugaboos. This just might be one of the best little pocket nines out there.

I see this one as the biggest threat to Kahr's PM9 market share more than any of the other pocket nines.
    God bless our troops!

I just cant get past the fact that both Kimber and Ruger felt the need to put a safety on a mouse gun. I am liking that sig p290 more and more.

Exactly, and why Ruger felt they had to add a magazine disconnect safety as well is beyond me. I could warm up to a thumb safety having shot 1911s, but not a magazine disconnect safety.

Thanks, guys. I'm glad y'all are enjoying them.

Here's another Chart comparing the Kimber Solo to a [j-frame] S&W revolver...

This is interesting. The SA EMP 9mm is a diminutive sized 1911, but looks humongous in comparison to the Solo.

OK - as long as you're taking requests...how about the DB380/DB9 and the Boberg XR9s?

Nice work, BTW. Much better than just comparing specs.

Your comparison here regarding the width of the PPS is bogus, however. For the Solo, PM9, P290, LC9, etc ... you list the slide width number for all of those guns. For the Walther PPS, you did not. Its slide width is only .91

So your comparison here with the width of the Walther PPS is skewed. You did not use the same measurement for it, thus invalidating the comparison.

In addition, the standard size magazine that ships with the PPS is a 7 round mag, and not 6. So the gun does not ship with a 6 round magazine. So on magazine capacity, that comparison on your chart is also incorrect.

You must have rushed this comparison out quickly, and thus did not do adequate research.

Except that it is flawed, and has errors in it.
