    Finally Accurate Charts

I see so much misinformation on the internet. It is really nice to see that Los did his homework so he could make charts with accurate information. Posting the width without the safeties, made the comparison of the solo much more relevant. Great job, thanks for the effort. I can't find a store in my area that even has a solo for display. This really helped on getting a handle on its actual size.

If you can also make one comparing the Kimber Solo and S&W Bodyguard 380. Thanks and God Bless

If you read their site, it seems they really really want this to work right off the bat. They are already in revision 10, and have done extensive testing. I'm not easily impressed, but it seems they have their ducks lined up. They have been very upfront about the issues their testing uncovered, and what they've done to address them.

For now, I'm going to wait and see. I'll give them until the end of 2011.
No-one can argue they haven't kept people up-to-date or open about their progress. Video of the prototype seems very promising. I like the innovation of the operation of the gun as well. Boberg displays in their open-ness what more firearms manufactures should, in my opinion; that being that "fear of failure is sometimes the biggest motivator for success". Microtech really has me all stirred up again with their teaser on their site now.

los : thanks for these comparisons. Having them all in one place is capital!

    THANKS, Dave.

FYI, I intend to make additional Comparison Charts in the near future featuring popular compact/sub-compact handguns vs. similiar sizied counterparts.

los, I think there is a mistake on your comparison on the Ruger SR9c. You show the width on the SR9c as .92', yet Ruger lists it on their website as 1.27".

I'm sure los will let you know for sure, but I think he is comparing the slide width on the SR9c. The guns that los has been giving the overall width for he says "max width" on the chart.

    GunKeen is correct, Ejes.

The width shown on the graph demonstates the slide width on all semi-automatic firearms. A maximum width graph will be shown with revolvers, to indicate cylinder width.

Additionally, if specific slide width dimension is not available, I will show the width of the subject firearm including safety lever(s), as posted on the respective manufacture site.

Thanks for the inquiry,. ..and Sorry for the confusion .

    Here you go, VB.

Man, that Bodyguard is a good looking pocket 380..!. Very light and thin, too. I didn't realize it came equipped with a factory installed integrated laser. How cool is that..!!

    THANKS, Augrunt.

I should have a Solo vs. SA XD Sub-Compact [9mm] chart up a little later.
