I had intended 2011 to be a year of firearms consolidation and thinning of the herd, and indeed, I ended 2010 by selling two. But then, I handled a P229R E2, fell in love, and managed to find the resources to buy it outright. Then, I found one of my grails, a Ruger Super Redhawk Alaskan in .454/.45 Colt, and put the absolute minimum down on it to start a layaway. These mega-snubs are RARE at dealers and distributors. I did these things by postponing some photography-related purchases indefinitely. So, my next likely purchase is to finish paying out the SRH Alaskan.

I could buy an AR15 lower receiver. I already have a spare complete upper, and the parts needed to complete a stripped lower.

The only way for things to be different is if I elect to make a really painful trade.

My LGS is holding a 6" GP100 in stainless for me. I'll be picking it up in a couple of weeks. LNIB 2009 production $450 OTD.

I have a blued 4" and SS SP101. This should do it for 357 wheel guns for a while. Maybe not

I've got an extensive list. A good semi-auto shotgun, a Kel-tec RFB (if I can find one), another .22lr rifle or another 1911 in 38 Super or 10mm. Probably only one or two of those in the next year.

Rexster reminded me. AR lowers. I have picked up a bunch lately, and probably will get a few more. Most I'll buikd, but I think I'll put a couple away for a rainy day.

After keeping my LGS in business with 5 pistols, 3 revolvers and 2 shotguns in the last 11 months, I'm focused on ammunition, range time and training classes in 2011.

A Ruger SR9c, I've been looking at them in the shop and I'm pretty impressed with them. Also a S&W or Sig 1911, Smith has a new model that has a bobbed grip frame that I would like to get my hands on.

Going to gun store always confuses me as to what I need. Oh. I mean what I might dream for. Right now I want a really nice .223 bolt rifle. Looking at a Savage varmit as well Kimber and CZ bolts. Just don't know how to make this choice. Need to cap at 1k or less. Otherwise a Ruger .357 or Dan Wesson .357 would be nice.
It's not a problem til they make it one!

I'm saving for an AR-15 from LWRC. Reading about Eotech sights. I like the idea of being able to shoot and keep both eyes open. Faster target acquisition.....that's just me.

Just traded a charles daily O&U 12 GA for a WWII Victory S&W 38... My next one on the list is a 1911 45 ACP Full size. Going to be a Rock Island for sure, they are a great gun for the price, my Dad has one and had trouble with it; the customer service he received was as outstanding as I have ever seen and sold me on that company for sure..... I will get one because I know they stand behind thier product as I have seen it first hand.

Beretta 90-Two. Not for CC for most part but a very nice piece indeed.

been looking for a Colt defender
Vermont does not issue Permit/Licenses to Carry a Concealed firearm. Vermont allows anyone
who can legally own a firearm to carry it concealed without a permit of any kind.
