    I can't decide between a Glock 27 or a Home Defense shotgun.
I currently carry a G23. Love Glocks & love them in .40s&w. I CC and could use an Ultra Concealment pistol. I could also use the shotgun around my 11 acres in addition to the home defense use.
    HHMMM, decisions decisions.

I am not so patiently waiting for my new Springfield Armory "Range Officer" 1911. It should be here any day.

    The OP asks for the next purchase 'within reason', and even though my response may push those bounds, here goes;

I'm going to attempt to not purchase any firearms in 2011.

I basically have all of the 'needs' covered. That makes me a 'collector' now. This year will be practice and training. We'll see if I can hold out...

I will buy two this year: a Colt 1911, anniversary edition (the cheaper version), and a Glock 19. That may be all I ever buy.

Last Friday I picked up my newest purchase: ATI FX .45 (top)
No range info yet but $400 is a good start.
(Bottom is my tried and true PT1911)

And the old man said, "We'll see..."

Getting married, so funds will be tight. Hoping to pull off a Walther PPS or G26, and depending on cash flow a lc9 or a small single stack 9 for the summer. After that, ammo, ammo, ammo. It's amazing what throwing $50 / pay period can do for ya.

Another big honking revolver. I'm thinking a large frame large bore S&W.

    Either a Hk P2000sk .40 or Kahr CW45

Only reason giving CW45 any consideration is because I already have Hk45c (slide is a little too long for CC…FOR ME) and kinda want to stay on the .45 platform and don't want to buy a whole new caliber (.40). But as far as familiarity (field stripping, handling, reliability…THE Hk GOT MY NOSE WIDE OPEN!

Probably going to LGS to handle both and see which one gets the layaway deposit!

    ANY SUGGESTIONS??

I bought an AR-15 receiver b/c I was thinking about building an AR from the ground up. After looking at everything I need to to get in order to complete it, I'm wondering if I wouldn't be just as well off buying one off the wall of a local shop. There is so much difference in the weight and feel from rifle to the next, I'm concerned that I'll build something I won't be happy with. I have a disability so weight and balance are very important to me.

I would like to get a BUG sometime soon but not sure what I would want to get to fulfill that role.

At the same time after having said all that, I'm thinking of getting another G23 (my primary) & getting a .22 conversion kit so that I might have an inexpensive way of getting in some practice in on a gun with the same platform that I'm use to.

Ruger LCR .357 or SP101 in .357 mag. I am on the fence on this one. I want a everyday, front pocket carry revolver. Hopefully I will be able to shoot both.
