I bought an AR-15 receiver b/c I was thinking about building an AR from the ground up. After looking at everything I need to to get in order to complete it, I'm wondering if I wouldn't be just as well off buying one off the wall of a local shop. There is so much difference in the weight and feel from rifle to the next, I'm concerned that I'll build something I won't be happy with. I have a disability so weight and balance are very important to me. to.

Call Del Ton or Model 1 Sales and tell them exactly what you like in an AR. Either place has excellent service and will set you up for a lot less than you'll likely pay at the gunshop. I've been building rifles from both places a lot lately, all tbe local LEOs are getting ready to spend their tax returns.

I'm hoping to get another XD9 4" so I have a pair.

Some sort of shotgun might also be had this year, not sure what kind though. Probably either a Maverick 88 or a '97 clone.

I'd like to get either a SP101 or GP100 (haven't decided yet) and send it to Gemini Custom, but I don't know if that'll be this year or not.

A lot of this really depends on how much money moving sucks out of me this year. Come on lotto numbers! haha.
