Well, it's not a gun.. but do you have a good gun safe to protect your current investments from theft or fire? It sounds like you have some nice stuff already. I am in a similar situation as you are, and have decided to purchase a good safe with part of my return. If you are set on new handgun, a new sig 229 in .40, or 220 in .45 could be a nice addition.

Good luck with whatever you end up with though!

Why get a tax return? If you have eniugh withheld by the gov to get a tax Refund, essentially you are using the gov. For an interest free savings acct. Sorry- totally off topic but I justed wanted to say that. I am on social security so no tax return for me. :(

I would look for a Kahr P9. Excellant carry gun. Although I would not want to put more than 50 rounds through it in Range session.

Yeah, I figured out my tax return and then found out that the IRS won't accept e-file returns with itemized deductions until 14 February.....

Anyway, I was looking at LGSs for the recently released Ruger LC9. I had no luck sighting a LC9, but did get my hands on a Ruger Gunsite Scout Rifle (GSR) at the second store I visited. The clerk said that they had just put it on display. I fell in love with it as soon as i picked it up..... yep, it went home with me. I still have to strip/clean/lube and familiarize myself with my new beauty. I can hardly wait to take it to the range for the initial function and sighting rough-in session.

Isn't your tax return something you file? Or do you mean your refund?

While I do like guns, I think if I were getting a lot of money back I might look at putting it in an IRA. So one day I can retire, and spend more time at the range. :-)
