Well the more common pick is the G30...it is all kinds of accurate. .45 is much easier to find on store shelves also. I voted to pick the G29 though. That 10mm is a freight train in your hand. Ballistically it is hard to beat in an auto pistol. I want one.

once you go 10 you will never own a 45 again![]()

I also went with the G29.I have both a G29 and a G30. But the 10mm round is just so cool and powerful.
I always carry two guns daily.
My thoughts exactly; the G30 is certainly a more common gun. To expound, both the .45 ACP and 10mm are more difficult to conceal rounds. You would choose them when you are willing to make a small sacrifice in concealability for power. I think most people choose the .45 ACP just because it is the largest common diameter and they think, falsely, that it is therefore "the most deadly automatic round"...and this gives them a warm feeling. However, the 10mm despite being a little less common, takes the cake. I too want one. In fact it will almost certainly be my next purchase, so that's what I voted for.

I'm surprised by the results so far...the 10mm over the .45 by 2x1. I also voted for the G29, although I hate the grip and trigger. I voted for the caliber. The 10mm is an amazing beast, and very versatile.
Treat me good, I'll treat you better. Treat me bad, I'll treat you worse.
I'll take the 30. It not that I don't like the 10mm, I just don't think I would like it in that gun. I am basing that on my experiences shooting a friends G20......

Why Ike, whatever do you mean? Maybe poker's just not your game Ike. I know! Let's have a spelling contest!
As much as I love the .45, in this particular instance I vote 10mm.
I am shocked the 10mm is leading! I can't wait to get one I am kind of impulsive so I will probably have one tomorrow!

I say Glock 30. Not because I'm so in love with the .45, but 10mm coming outta the Glock 29 may feel a bit ''robust''.

Well in that case I will point out that the G30 punches a larger hole, with more elongated (and hence better cutting) mushroom star points. Take a look at this diagram:

The 10mm is the same diameter as .40S&W, although being higher velocity it may have a smaller expanded radius that is more 'molten' like the .357 sig.
Also, the .45ACP makes more efficient use of bullet powder in a short barreled gun, instead of making a big flashy muzzle flare almost all the energy goes into propelling the bullet, and is hence more controllable and accurate to shoot, as well as more consistent in terms of muzzle velocity.

Accuracy ALWAYS WINS! So carry what you can hit with.
If you find yourself in a fair fight your tactics stink.
I think I am the only person on this forum who doesn't have a love affair with the .45, not even close to my favorite caliber. Get the 29 and don't look back Dragman. The 29 handles the 10mm just fine trust me.
