Switched from Glocks to P7's
Several years ago I made the decision to move to one platform for carry. With the guns I owned at the time, the G19 "won". I aquired a couple and carried one for just about 5 years.
While at the range about 3 years ago, I guy allowed me to try his P7. Well, I should say allowed me to try several of his various P7's. Thus began my conversion from the G19 and love affair with the PSP. I now am Glock free and own two P7's. They fit my hand like a glove and the trigger is very crisp and clean. I hardly notice the squeeze-cocker any more and my accuracy is improved by about 75%. I never thought I could shoot as well as I do with my P7's. Double taps are no problem even while moving between targets.
Just thought I would share. My carry gun is in the avitar pic.

I never really looked into all the features of the P7 before, but inspired by your post I watched this video.
Quite a convincing video if you watch the whole thing...

I always wanted to try a P7 but i don't have any friends that have one. And im not gonna buy one just to try it out.
Glad you found a carry that better suits you.

It's not hard to find a better shooting gun than a Glock! I had the opportunity to shoot a P7 only once, and I found the grip weird, but I'm a 1911 guy. It was definitely quality built.

I've heard only good things about the P7, but haven't tried one yet. I was under the impression that they're either no longer produced or out of my price range. I could be wrong though. Never looked into it.. yet. Maybe it's time to check it out.

You may be right xeero. My LGS told me that they no longer make the squeeze cocker. I had one back in the eighties. Paid 585 for it. I had no problem moving between that and my Combat Commander. It's a great shooting pistol.

I bought two of the German police imports from Top Gun Supply a few years ago after I tried one and thought it was the cat's meow.
They are a unique and very well constructed firearm, but they began to lose their luster for me after awhile.
I found them to be too heavy for the magazine capacity. The squeeze cocker was much noiser in operation than I would have thought. Absurdly high prices for extra magazines, when they could be found. And I just didn't shoot the P7 very well. Which is not the fault of the H&K.
I traded one for a special run S&W 686 revolver. The other I have put back. Not sure if I will keep it or not.
I usually carry a GLOCK at the present time.

IMHO the P7 is the nicest shooting pistol I've ever shot. Prior to my retirement a few years ago I carried this P7M10 as my duty weapon for years, and still have it.

No doubt about the P7 being a world class pistol. It didn't turn out to be my CCW choice though for a couple reasons, but it is still one of my favorites.
