Thank you all for the vital input!

I know I was pretty much "sold" on the LCR but you all have backed up my belief.

Ruger LCR it is! We may try to find a .357 version so she can have 2 calibers in one revolver. They are a bit hard to find in .357 though and I am sure she would be very satisfied with a .38 special version.

I vote get the LCR in 357. That way she can carry 38 in it but if you want to play with it some at the range, you can shoot the 357 some. If money is not an option, I am a huge fan of the S&W 340PD.

I think the only thing you are probably doing wrong is, shooting a 357 magnum out of a 17 ounce gun. Lol they are just a beast to shoot with full powered magnum rounds.

My reloads aren't that hot. Chrono'd them today and they were about 1000s with 158grain swc from the LCR. Out of my 4" Security Six I get 1100s. Didn't tear up my finger today so maybe I'm just learning to shoot it properly. My trigger finger would smash against the inside top of the trigger guard or housing enough to draw blood the first day I shot it. Probably didn't help I shot over 100 rounds through it. Best way to fix my errors is to keep practicing. In all honestly it isn't as bad as people were saying it was but I'm a little dead to felt recoil so what do I know.

Absolutely not. I regularly shoot one handed on the move with accuracy with 125gr JHM and FMJ magnums ..... it is nothing. Seriously. I have over 600 magnum rounds through it now.

I cant say enough good things about the LCR

I personally like the bodyguard more than the LCR. Just fits me better...I will say after handling both they are both great guns!
