As promised here are some pics of the new grips. Hogue round butt Kingwood Checkered. HUGE improvement in feel vs stock grips. For those who wonder about hang-up issues with the checkering it's just not going to be an issue. Just enough texture to improve the grip with wet / sweaty hands but not enough to hang on clothing etc...
Sweet grips! My hand just molds right into them. Feel is fantastic. Can't wait to range test her again!!

Wow, that is perhaps the most handsome S&W 649 that I have ever seen! The grip looks totally awesome, besides providing such a good grip on the gun.

That is one impressive carry piece, I have got to admit. It would be very difficult to argue that any other revolver would be better for defensive carry than your S&W 649.
