Speedloader help needed
Hi all I recently bought a S&W 640 that was customized by Gemini Customs and it has an enlarged cylinder release latch. I have hks no. 36 speed loaders and they won't clear this enlarged cylinder release latch.
Does anyone here know of a speedloader that will work with this enlarged latch or am ongoing to have to replace it with a factory one or go with speed strips? Thanks for any help.
Snub nose revolvers, the original concealed carry guns.

The 5Star speed loaders might work for you. Contrary to most speed loaders, they are fluted. That may require specific cylinder positioning for them to work easily.

If all fails,..go with Speed Strips.
What we've got here is failure to communicate.

The flutes may make for quicker reloads if they can be used to index the loader by feel with the cylinder as you bring the reloader and cylinder together.

That is also true. My thought was that the flute might clear the cylinder latch.

I have some speed loaders for my previous revolver (S&W 637) that can be used for my SP101...they are kind of bulky to carry; the the speed strips I now carry are much easier to transport.
"That I cannot do."

They are easier to carry, but they are S-L-O-W.
