You know I was thinking. If the group was measured center to center from each round it could be done. I know that I can shoot into a one inch pipe at 25 yards rested on sanbags. So if you got a real good shooter (unlike me ) they could probly shoot into a one inch pipe 99% of the time.

Man we definately have some marksmen on this forum. I am fortunate that I can still qualify with my G-21 for duty and G-36 for off duty. 1" to 1 1/2" center to center three shot groups with a sub compact at 25 yards is quite good shooting bench rested or not. I am quite content with 4" to 5" center to center groups center mass armpit level at 15 yards offhand.

Don't get testy, I was just kidding.

A G30 may be accurate, but I am sorry I still think sub 1 inch groups at 25 yards is BS. Next you guys are going to tell that Mas says it's capable of 3 inch groups at 100 yards because .45 acp shot out of it's magical barrel will fly straight infinitely.

By the way, I am dead serious about someone taking me up on proving me wrong. I actually think it would be fun to see as well as meet a local DC member. A hundred bucks to see some great shooting and meet some other members would be cool.

It is very similar in size to the Glock 30. I think that I might be able to get 5 grouped together under 1.25 inch at 25 yards. It is quite accurate for a small .45

Assuming that I can do my part, though.

Anyway, this will make for an interesting project.

    Lance,

Let me know how that goes as I am curious and respect your opinions. I would probably lend more accuracy to a typical Sig over a typical Glock. Let me know some time when you are in my neck of the woods. We should go shooting some time.

That has always been the generally accepted way to measure groups: from center to center of the bullet holes.

Well, I need to do some practicing with my P245 anyway, as it has recently been returned to active duty, serving alongside my PM9. My .40 S&W Walther PPS is out of service right now, and I'm still looking for another 5-6 weeks before I get it back from Robar. They always seem to have a backlog of work, which makes for long turnaround times for customers.

So in the meantime, I have upgraded from .40 S&W to .45 ACP !!

    Is bigger better??

    45, then .40 S&W, and then a 9mm round:

Well, I got a new toy today, so I think that I will definitely have to go to the range tomorrow.

I wonder, could my new Smith & Wesson 686 possibly shoot a group under 1 inch at 25 yards? I will have to find out.

Mine is accurate as heck if you stage the trigger or shoot single action. You will be loving your 686
