So My wife decided she wants to carry a SP101 in .327 Mag. After much looking we were able to get one. The only problem I am having is that now that we have it in the house, and I have spent some time playing with it, I kind of want it! :blink: I think maybe a matching one in .357 is in the works. It is a neat little gun, in an over built sort of way.
Good choice- I have 2 myself 357 2 1/4" and 9mm 3".
My SP101 357 is one of my favorite carries.
I love mine, it's 2.25" .357. For CC I use it or the FNX-9. Was out with them at the range today and was thinking how much I like it.
I don't see the problem.

I have a 3" SP101 and I just sent my daughter-in-law the $$$ to buy a hammerless SP101. She'll probably only use it for .38 or .38 +P, but at least she has the option of a .357 and a pistola that is built like a tank.:yup:
I would be surprised if you regret the purchase, and would say go for it! The SP101 is a great revolver, and your wife could also use the .38/.357 model for target practice to cut down on ammo costs of the .327 if that is a concern.. that is if you let her. :tongue: Just a thought... great choice though on both accounts.
I bought my first pistol, a 1911, last May and then this past month I decided that I'd really like a more compact gun for my car (center of mass safe under the seat) yet not have to sacrifice any power compared to my 1911. I chose the 2.25" SP101 in .357 Magnum to fulfill this role and I love it!
Just installed a 10# Wolff mainspring and the trigger is now phenomenal for me and I'm going to test the new spring at the range this weekend to ensure functionality. Just about the time I've ensured full-house .357 functionality with no light primer strikes (an issue some people have with the 10# Wolff mainspring) will be about the time that my Simply Rugged holster arrives for it to promote it to full time carry in preparation for summer.

+1 .. i have the same holster for mine, but I dont have the spare ammo carrier. Great piece of leather, but mine still needs a little more carry to fully break in and shape to my body.Quote:
