    The Sig 220!
We will be much better off when we learn to deal with things as they really are, instead of how we wish them to be!

The SAS models are fine but I prefer the elite models because of the beavertail grip. I have carried a 1911 for so many years I like the beavertail can acquire a higher grip.

I chose the Sig. I have the P220 Carry SAS. I started out with a 1911, but for carry realized that DA/SA with no manual safety was better for me.

    For EDC, I'd pick the 1911. I'm very comfortable CCing a 1911.

For duty, I'd pick the Sig.

I own, use and carry 2 of the 3 - TRP and 220. I also have a G23, so I'm quite familiar with that platform. The 1911 is hands-down the easiest to carry concealed, and I have 8+1 shots available with a crisp trigger pull. I love my Sig 220, but the DA-to SA trigger change after the first shot takes it down a point in my book.

I faced the 1911 vs P220 decision a few weeks ago. I decided on the 1911 because they both hold 8+1. So in my eyes the P220 didn't really have an edge over the 1911.

IMHO, the big advantage of the 220 for duty is that I'd be less tempted to take it apart and start tinkering. Something I've never managed to avoid on a 1911.

I'd go with the Sig. I aready carry a DW 1911, no Kimber or Springfield could match it for feel, accuracy or reliability in my opinion. That leaves the choice between the Sig and the Glock. I don't like the way a Glock fits my hand, so in this case Sig is the winner.

I'd happily pick the Springfield TRP over the others due to familiarity with the design.

I sort of like the P220 and have enjoyed shooting one on occasion.

Plastic kills the Glock for me, along with the dreadful trigger.
