    Anyone carry their 1911 exclusivly?

My main carry is my PF-9 but really want to carry my all steel Officer Model more. What holster are you using to help with the heft?

I use a IWB rig from Little Bear Holsters.

I've got a SuperTuck for other pistols, so I'd like to try one of those for the 1911. The large surface on the SuperTuck helps to distribute the weight.

I carry a Para .45 CCW LDA commander size in stainless. I use a Tucker Silent Thunder and a good pair of suspenders. Occasionally I carry a full size 1911 using the same holster and suspenders.

I wear mine only....as it is my dedicaded EDC firearm (finally). Took several guns, holsters, couple years, plus other things to come to this, but I found it. RIA compact loaded with Ranger T-series 230gr. Solid gun.

UBG "Striker" in the mahogany color....excellent holster.

    natural light out side....

Comp-tac MTAC works for me, very comfortable and conceals under a t-shirt with no problem.

I used to, but I switched to an updated. 45 platform a couple years ago. It's not as pretty, or as impressive, but it has twice the capacity with the same weight, is more reliable, cheaper*, and just as accurate.

*cheaper means that I don't worry about day to day wear as much, and if it gets confiscated, it's easily and quickly replaced. I would cry like a small girl if I lost my 1911.

My primary EDC is a DW CBOB. Holster varies depending on mode of carry.

Remember, the most important part of your carry rig is going to be your gun belt. Regardless of the quality of your holster, a cheap belt is not going to give you the support you need.

My favorite this week is a Wilson Combat Sentienl .45 on the Officer's frame. I use a Tucker Leather's "The Answer" most of the time.

I carried my Kimber TLE II in a Blackhawk "Check Six" leather holster exclusively for two years. Now that rig is rotated with my G19/MTAC combination. Looking at a Colt Combat Commander as my next purchase.
