my thoughts on Kahr handguns
i was at my local gun shop a few days ago and i handled some of the most popular makes and models including Glock 26/19, Springfield XDsc, S&W M&Pc,Kahr's, Kel Tec,Ruger SR9c,and a few others..my initial impression was that Kahr had some of the best designed concealed carry pistols on the market,if not the best pistols for concealed carry (especially the PM9 and even the CW series).. the thinness, weight and compactness are hard to beat..the DA only triggers are smooth as glass and of course the single stack magazines..i'm only giving my opinion from a design stand point for concealed carry.i'm not implying Kahr's are better, worse or more reliable then any other make or model.also, this is in regard to 9mm and larger for "concealed carry"..what's your opinion?

For some people, a single stack is the only option because of their small hands.

Well, I'd never buy a kahr pm9. Was looking for a pocket 9mm and rented one. I had 2 FTF before 25 rounds. The primer was dented on the shell but didn't fire. Thought it was the ammo so I threw the same ammo in my H&k and it fired perfectly. Yes the ones with the dented primer. If I can't trust a kahr to go boom when I pull the trigger, I'm not buying it.

The P9 is one of the best feeling guns I have ever laid my hands on, just feels llike a natural extension.

I just recently picked up a CW45, so far I really love it. I agree with you about how the guns feel, that is one thing that sold me on it. So far I only have about 75 rounds down the pipe, with no problems as of yet, I really like the way it shoots also.

I have a P9 and have carried it daily for for years. It is thin and easy to carry concealed. For me it works perfectly.

Kahr CW9 was the one I chose for concealed carry after comparing all the compact 9mm handguns on the market at the time. What finally sold me was the fit in my hand. It felt like a natural extension of my fingers. Dsully, give Kahr another look someday...maybe the rental gun was dirty or abused?

I have a CW9, I had two, count them FTE, one in each of the first two magazines. After that it has been flawless! The pistol is my carry gun and now have more than 1,100 rounds down range. What a great pistol, Kahr makes a quality hand gun!

I've carried a Kahr P9 for a few years now, and still love it. It is reliable, easy to conceal, light, and has a managable recoil. I feel that it is a great personal defense weapon. I don't really care for the PM9 or any other small grip weapon that I can't get a full 3 finger grip on. Just my personal feelings.

My PM9 is on my never sell list. I had a P9 Covert and a K9. I wish I never got rid of them. Kahr sometimes gets a bad rap due to the fact they are small guns that can be slightly fickle with an inexperienced operator or with somebody who can't follow instructions.

I would love one of the smaller kahrs, great for deep carry roles.

CW9 is in the carry rotation, and big brother K40 is an "upstairs" house gun. Nary a problem from either.
