    Los, if you're bored....

Can you create a comparison chart for a Glock 30SF against a Glock 27? I owned a 27 but carry a 21. I think the 30SF would be a great EDC. I skimmed through your earlier posts and didn't see one.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hey, crabby.

I'm checking in from another venue and I'm not on my laptop. If I make it back home in the next few hours I'll put something together for you. If not, first thing tomorrow morning.

    crabby,
The G27 is the exact same size as the G26. The G30 is the exact same size as the G36 except in thickness.
So, these comparisons between the G26 and G36 may be useful for you to look at since it essentially answers your question

    crabby,. sentioch is correct.

Glock does makes a 9 round magazine for the G30 that reduces it's height and brings it closer to G26/G27 height specs.

Regarding the Chart you requested, the combined O/A/L of the pistols exceeded the parameters of my master chart so I am unable to complete the comparison in final form. I did, however, scale the images and made an illustration to give you a good look at the difference in sizes.

    Here it is....

Los, I know you're bombarded by these requests, but here's another one for you: Think you could do a SIG P232 vs. Walther PPK/s? If you've already done it, I missed it. Thanks in advance!

    Jim

    Thanks los, this is great.

I have a G26 that my wife might be stealing from me, so I'm looking at a G36. Looks like it should work for me just fine...thinner and barely larger than my G26 in length and height.

    Thanks, 10.

The G26 is a sweet carry 9, but I think you'll be just as happy with a G36. The G36 is thinner and will weigh a little less fully loaded.

BTW,..don't let the wife shoot the 36, unless, you want the G26 back.. :)

    Kilo, here's your comparison chart...

    No big woop, Bro. :)

I'm sure the Sig's O/A/W includes the grips and/or safety lever. The P232 slide is most likely near the width of the PPK/S slide.

Both are Classy weapons, for sure..!

The Sig 230 from Germany was a great gun, the Sig p232 made in Exeter is problematic

I carry a G30SF IWB. It's a bit thick, but if you're already carrying a G21, You'll have not one problem at all!

I like the G36, but the grip feels too thin. I like a grip that fills my hand. So, I had to get the 30 over the 36. Plus, the extra capacity is nice. I only got the SF version because it was in stock at the time in the store. I'd take either the SF or original. The G36 slide thickness is real nice if you carrying IWB, but the G30 was just a better fit for me. Plus, it has a rail, which is something I like.
