Ok, I'll be "that guy" who doesn't actually answer your question, but points you in a different direction entirely:

Sig P230/P232. Almost the exact dimensions of the PPK, .380ACP, and, IMO, a FAR superior pistol.

I have owned both. BERSA was more reliable and easier to shoot.

The Bersa I had jammed every other round.

I have heard very good things about them though. I must've gotten a dud.

You get a lot of bang for your buck with a Bersa, but if you're willing to spend PPK money, I agree with OPFOR. The Sig is a better gun.

Well I've got a PPK in 380 and I'm very happy with it. My father has had a Bersa 380 for years not a Thunderer, too early for that and he's had no issues with it. I bought the PPK because I'd wanted one since I was a kid. If I only had the cash for the Bersa I wouldn't have hesitated on that either, I've put many rounds through the one my father owns. I don't know about else where in the in USA but where I am a SIG 232 is appx $150 more than a PPK I wouldn't give the difference.

The Bersa is a super smooth shooter. It's also a quality firearm and a great value. I have a Bersa Thunder 9 ultra compact (9 mm version) and it's awesome.

I traded a safe queen of equal value for a Bersa not too long ago. I was very pleased with the quality and function of the gun. It exceeded my expectations.

Out of the two, I prefer the PPK. They are both good guns, but the PPK has more sex-appeal. Now that i've answered your question, i'm going to also be "that guy". The Sig P232 is a superior weapon in every way. If I were looking for a .380 for CCW, I would pick up the Sig without a shadow of a doubt in my mind. I only use my PPK for a once-in-a-while range gun, and to finger-fondle

Gotta say - I handled both today before I posted here and while it seemed the Walther held a higher standard of quality, the Bersa felt significantly more natural to me. However Bersa has no stainless model which is a bummer.

I've heard a lot of good things about Bersa and I've not heard much of anything about the PPK's either way..

Still torn. Wish my range rented 'em... I don't know anyone with either of the two to take 'em for a drive. Looks like I won't get past kicking the tires before a purchase.

Thank you for all your input!
