Kahr PM9 both at work and around town. Work as a CSI these days so have it in a pocket holster. Love it. Accurate as my G26 and more concealable.

    Cool

    Depends on the need?

Just to have a tool available I generally carry a Kahr TP9. If I know that I'm going to an area where there is a possibility of running into trouble then it's the BHP. My backup is a Spyderco Police with a standard edge blade.

SIG 226 (9mm), occasionally I will break out the 1911.
    Ranger Gunleather

If light rails were needed on handguns John Browning would have included it on the 1911.

Smith & Wesson 1911sc. Perfect CCW for me. I can hide it easily and reach it more easily. Thin (for my girlish hands), and lighter than I would have thought. It is capable of better accuracy than I am capable of getting it to produce. Reliable, too, right out of the box.

    And it's a .45.

Loaded with 230-grain JHP's, 8 of 'em. A BG can try to kill or harm me or a member of my family, and he might succeed.

But it isn't going to be a walk-over kind of thing for him.

I'll update ya'll on my new carry - a Glock 26 (just got it). The wife has one too - I love shooting them.

"He went on two legs, wore clothes and was a human being, but nevertheless he was in reality a wolf of the Steppes. He had learned a good deal . . . and was a fairly clever fellow. What he had not learned, however, was this: to find contentment in himself and his own life. The cause of this apparently was that at the bottom of his heart he knew all the time (or thought he knew) that he was in reality not a man, but a wolf of the Steppes."
