When in the field in LE I carried an issue Glock 23 and a Glock 27 on the ankle, off-duty was a Glock 27 in a Kramer IWB.Now I work inside and don't carry an issue sidearm but carry off-duty either a Glock 27 again in the Kramer IWB or will be carrying a S&W 629 Mountain Gun 4".When walking in the woods behind the house it's either the 629 or Glock 20.
Kimber Ultra Carry II with a coat in cooler weather. Kahr CW40 in Roper boots. Kel-Tec P3AT in boots with riding heels.
Anything I want but usually a 642 or a P3AT. Steve48
Taurus PT1911, Llama minimax when summer hits and don't have as many clothes on. Two spare mags and a box of ammo in the glovebox just in case.
for the last three years, i've carried a Kimber .45 - 4" model. the Kimber carries ok in an outside the pants tejas style holster but i'm eating holes in thepockets of my jeans and the seats of my cars. the gun is also a little conspicous unless i'm wearing a jacket.
i'm looking for a smaller framed gun but hate to give up the stopping power of the .45.
spurs06... consider the S&W M&P 40Compact!
Here are some very interesting links to reviews and info...
For the last year I carried a Norinco Tokarev 9mm in my car, however that pistol is no longer reliable so I am down to a 22 taurus. Neither are the best guns in the world but better than throwing rocks
Taurus Pt111 droped in the front pocket, or Beretta Px4 inside the belt, always ready...man this is a long thread.
Shadow, the Norinco is perfectly acceptable. The 22 leaves some to be desired, but isn't the end of the world. I would guess you could sell them and end up with a Makarov or something that you may like better.

Before it broke the Norinco was an excellent firearm. Very accurate, and the magazine release is not activated when I fire. (I am left handed and sometimes that happens) It would of been my CCW instead of just a car gun. That and I just love the irony of protecting my Second Admendment Right with a comunist weapon.
Glock 36 with +1 mag. Like the slimmer grip.
