I'm new to this forum.....thought I'd add my own tidbit to this page. I recently acquired my CCW and carry a sig P220. I purchased a CC purse which seems to work pretty well.
I also carry a Sig P220 in a Bianchi Black Widow. I've also been looking at getting a S&W M&P .357 snubby as a backup in either a bellyband or ankle rig.
92 sf and m-4 on duty and xd 45 or glock 22 off duty
I'm surprised how common the p220 is for CC. This is my first CCW and I like it, though wouldn't be turned off to the idea of a smaller, more compact 45......
Buuuut, I'm also a student, so for right now, the thousand dollar replacement will have to wait!
In the AZ heat, if I'm just going to the supermarket I carry a Kel-Tec .32 or a Taurus .38 snubbie with shrouded hammer in pocket holsters. Walking the dogs at night I've got either a Kimber Pro CDP (4", lightweight .45) or a Taurus Milennium in 9mm in belt holsters, covered with an untucked, button-up shirt.

Man! What a great site!
The only two handguns I own for the moment are pictured in my avatar, a S&W 4563TSW and a Beretta 21A Tomcat in .22 LR. The Smith is huge and heavy, so carrying it during the summer is near impossible, but when I do carry it, it's either in a Bianchi X-15 shoulder rig or an Aker Flatsider paddle. I really don't have a preference over either one of those holsters, they're both very comfortable. My next holster will likely be a Hume shoulder rig which will accommodate my Streamlight TLR-2 light/laser mounted on the gun.
The Beretta pretty much stays in the car in a pocket on the front of the seat-cover right between my legs. It ain't much, but I bet I could dissuade a car-jacker with it! During the summer, it's real easy to carry in any pocket, even lightweight sweat-shorts. I rarely use a holster when carrying it, but if I do, it's just a cheapo Uncle Mike's IWB.
