This is a discussion on What do you carry? within the Defensive Carry Guns forums, part of the Defensive Carry Discussions category; 340pd today...
Most of the time It's a Kimber pro carry. On days where I just don't want to carry an old Colt Agent goes into a pocket.
XD9 when I have the chance.
Wife has XD9SC in purse almost all of the time.

A Springer Ultra Compact 1911 in Biancia OWB leather.
It really depends on what I'm wearing, where I'm going, and what I'm doing. Most days I either carry a S&W M&P 9 or a Glock 19, but I've also been known to carry a Kimber Custom TLE, a S&W M&P 45, Glock 17, or a S&W J-Frame.
Mostly Taurus 617 in a Smart Carry holster or a full size Kimber on occassion also in a Smart Carry.

just made a change from my XD40sc to a .357 revolver....
GLOCK 26 I should be in the market for another COLT Officers model soon. Really like my GLOCK'S but I miss my COLT
Springfield XD 40 Sub Compact all black. Shopping and testing .380's for deep concealment.
Since 2001, Para LDA 7.45 (all stainless) and Beretta Tomcat .32.
But am now considering something a bit lighter. Looking at the XD's and Glock 23, 36,26. Haven't ruled out the Kimbers yet although a lot more money.
It really depends on where I am going, and what Iím warring and priority on concealment instead of the size of the bullet.
Living in the sunshine state, with our tropical 90 plus degree summers with major humidity means unless I am working, I am dressing in shorts, and light weight shirt.
Warring shorts and just headed to the store, I usually just carry the little 22 LR North American Arms revolver.
Warring shorts and headed downtown, I usually carry the North American 25 NAA (read 25 caliber magnum) tucked away in my back pocket or in North Americanís canceled belt clip pouch, or the Walther PPKs in 380 inside my shorts with my shirt pulled out.
Headed into the big city for dinner and a show; I ware a sport coat and bring along the Glock 19 in an open top pancake style holster.
When it cools off and I have to ware a jacket. Pancake style holster with either the PPKs or Glock 19
XD SC 40. Also, I like the Glock 27, but for concealed carry I prefer the grip safety feature of the XD which requires force from opposite directions to fire, and hopefully prevent an accidental discharge. For open carry I would not consider a grip safety as much a necessity.
