XD SC 40. Also, I like the Glock 27, but for concealed carry I prefer the grip safety feature of the XD which requires force from opposite directions to fire, and hopefully prevent an accidental discharge. For open carry I would not consider a grip safety as much a necessity.

Rossi 38 special model 351. Have carried all kinds from the 1911 to the Bersa and everything in between but this I like best. It is small, confortable IWB, and reliable. Currently I have regular 158 grain +p in the cylinder but am looking for the best self defense 38 special round.

Springfield XD 9mm service model. And hopefully in the near future, a snubby .357/.38 revolver (now if anybody would reply to my last post )

Depends on the weather and my mood, but usually one of these: Springfield 1911 5" mil-spec lightweight, Taurus PT 99 AF, or an Interarms Firestar .40, love em all for different reasons.

Here in AZ, my carry gun is highly weather and clothing dependent. In warm weather, at night when I can wear an untucked shirt, it's usually a Taurus PT111 9mm; in daylight hours, either a Kel-Tec .32 or a Taurus 851 (shrouded hammer) snubby, both in pocket holsters that don't print.

In cooler weather I raise the bar a bit and carry a Kimber Pro CDP II when I wear a covering outer garment.

Meanwhile, a Glock 23 is my companion in the car.

The Second Amendment has nothing to do with hunting. It is about keeping the government in check. This requires that the citizenry is well armed and at all times has immediate access to arms.
