    Ruger LC9

I thought I was finished buying carry guns then, Ruger comes out with the LC9 which looks to be an LCP on steroids. It's a 7+1 9mm that looks to be a great choice for CC. Anybody shot one of these yet? A report would be greatly appreciated!

I was just thinking of calling my LGS and asking if he has any in stock yet, so I can drive out there and check one out in person.
Something is telling me that that is a "bad" idea, lol.

My dealer always loves the idea...I know what you mean! I'm thinking for a gun about the same size as the .380 but in 9mm...it's a no brainer

The Kahr PM9 and soon to be released CM9 are actually a bit smaller than the LC9.

Freedomofchoice...great report..I guess I didn't look hard enough since I didn't think there would be much out on it yet. Now I'm even more interested in it ! I understand MSRP is around $ 440?

Oh great...I have already decided on the LCR and you come up with this....No, No a LCR I tell ya but.....that LC9 sure does look good. By the way, Thanks freedom for your review...The confusion in my mind is all your fault!! LCR or LC9...grrrrrrrr.

It's on my short list. I am just waitingto see how the tide flows. Most initial offerings have some issues. Always corrected but still, I hate "issues"

Update: Today is the first day I carried my LC9. I made two leather holsters for it, one IWB and one belt holster. It worked so well in the belt holster, and didn't print at all. I wore it most of the day today in the belt holster, and then went out to dinner wearing a somewhat tighter shirt, so, I simply slipped it in to a pocket holster, and into my pocket it went. Comfortable all night like that! What an ideal carry firearm!

Heard the LC9 may have an issue with the front sight working it's way loose and a few have been sent back to Ruger.

    problem lc9

So i got lucky and with the help of a new guy at the range/store i got a new lc9 and 2 extra clips. He had seen them come that morning and didn,t know about the list. When i went to the range i took 3 different 50 boxes of ammo.Out of 150 shots I had one"light strike". It shot 1 1/2 feet low at 7 yards and wouldn't group.Gonna send it back tomorrow and i,m confident with ruger,s customer service because of what i,ve heard n read. Had no luck with cw40,pt 709 slim.Love my G30 but it,s too big n heavy.I,ve checked other glock subcompacts but they,re too thick and the slimG36 is too big length and heightwise.ANY SUGGESTIONS?
