    Unhappy I have a sight problem

    This afternoon my son was shooting at the campus where he's training as a Corrections Officer. Everone had a chance to bring in their own weapons to shoot. I let him take my Colt Delta Elite to try. After a few rounds he saw that the white insert in the front sight was gone. Of course there was no way to find it. As far as I know we don't have a gunsmith here.
    Can anyone give me a lead where I might be able to get a new insert or some other solution to this? I can't be the first to have this happen.

    Is it just a 3 dot sight? if so just repaint it if the whole front sight is gone try

    www.brownells.com they will even have the stock front sight from colt

    I believe there is a paint called "Bright Site" that will fit the bill.

    Paint the front sight with bright colored nail polish. I think that trick has been posted on here before.

    You can buy white epoxy paste if you want to fill the space where the insert popped out.

    It's a hardware store item called PC 11



    Degrease the front sight.

    Mix it up well & put it in & have a BRAND NEW single edge razor blade handy.
    Wait until it begins to set up & it is firm but, not yet fully hard.

    Then just trim/slice it even with the sight.

    It's easy...you CAN do it!

    QKShooter's solution is on point. You could also take this opprotunity to install a new front sight...kinda depends on how much you want to spend.
