10th is right. The market has not stood still. Lots of players now. Kahr leads this bunch because they have the best trigger. Period. If Glock ever comes out with a skinny, single stack 9, most of these me-too models will go the way of the 3913, et al. Gun Broker. Poor Boberg will probably be broke by the time the gun is ready to ship. No marketing dough. Adios. Somebody will buy the design and EAA will import it. Still have to greatly respect the effort.

The Boberg XR9 looks VERY small, but IMO, 18oz. is very heavy for a pocket gun. I used to own a NAA Guardian .380 and it felt like a brick in my pocket. It would move around a lot when I walked.

Hey, 10.
I've got the PM9/Boberg chart already rendered. I'll work on the LCP/DB9-XR9-S charts a little later and download them tomorrow a.m., for you.

Even if Boberg finally finds the resources so he can bring this pistol to market ( and so far he hasn't ), I still think that the pistol would flop.
A short length like this pistol has is only a positive if you are going to pocket carry a gun. However, when you compare the rest of the gun's dimensions ( width, height, and weight ) with other guns on the market, none of them are really at a level all that good for pocket carry. So I honestly don't think this would make a good pocket gun.
And for holster carry? A longer conventional gun is going to do just as well. Even better regarding accuracy, as it will have a longer sight radius.

Between the warranty and the PM9's lighter weight (and upcoming CM9), I think Arne is going to have a tough time. I think it's possible that the Boberg will be a great firearm, but even with all the time it's taken to go to market, it's still likely that there will be issues. Issues that'll take a company that's going to be there in a few years, and issues that might require a lifetime warranty. What if the frame cracks 15 months into ownership? Big drawback, especially on a gun at this pricepoint.
I think they'll sell as fast as they're produced for a while, but buyers will be well-off gun nuts who like buying whatever's new on the market. I'd love to try one, but I think I'd rather gamble on a CM9. If Arne had a warranty and service reputation like Ruger or Kel-Tec, I might be interested.

The advantage of the Boberg over its competition is the longer barrel, which gives you slightly better ballistics. You get a G26-length barrel in a pistol about the size of a LCP.
The drawbacks are the cost, weight, warranty, the fact that the slide doesn't (can't) lock open when empty, and the unproven company and feed design.
It's an innovative design to be sure, but I also cannot see too many folks buying this over a PM9 or the newer, less expensive CM9. Too bad Kahr no longer offers a lifetime warranty either.
I've had bad luck with Kahrs, but I'll give the devil his due - for now, the PM9 is still the king of small 9mm pistols. Size, weight, lack of manual safeties or mag interlocks, locks the slide open when empty, real sights, rated for +P ammo...none of the other newer small 9mm pistols match it in all these areas - still. You'd think after all this time one of the other manufacturers would best it...but nope. Not yet.

Absolutely. I have a good DB9 image I can scale and render but I don't have the factory L/H dimensions. I know the DB9 has a width of .80" and weighs 11 oz.
Do you have the Length and Height specs..?
Thanks.

I'm on the list and will pony up the $$ when it's available.
